Treasurer Josh Frydenberg says when Australians were in need during March last year while states were thrown into lockdown for the first time, the Morrison government responded with a “range of measures”.

“Including JobKeeper, and the cash flow boost and support for veterans and carers and others on income support, allowing Australians to access their own superannuation because after all that is their money and supporting industries,” Mr Frydenberg said.

“The good news is that the economy now is starting to recover and recover strongly because 350,000 jobs have come back since September.

“We have consistently delivered lower taxes while those opposite consistently proposed higher taxes.” Morrison government responded to pandemic with a 'range of measures'
